WOMAN AS THE PROTAGONIST OF THE REVOLUTION IN THE WORLD OF THEATRE
The 45th International Theatre Festival, following a programme conceived by Director Antonio Latella, was focused on direction. The protagonists of the Festival were nine women directors from Europe, most of them around 40 years old but with a consolidated artistic career: from Maja Kleczewska and Ene-Liis Semper to Nathalie Béasse, from Maria Grazia Cipriani to Livia Ferracchiati, from Anna Sophie Mahler to Claudia Bauer up to Suzan Boogaerdt & Bianca Van der Schoot. To each of them the Festival dedicated a sort of portrait, consisting in 2 to 4 performances, almost all of them Italian premiere performances, introducing personal knowledge of their research path.
The catalogue, created in a lively and dynamic form, contains interviews, statements by the directors and technical sheets, accompanied by images, dedicated to each of the shows presented during Act I: DIRECTOR.
