B74-78. LORENZO CAPELLINI. UN RACCONTO FOTOGRAFICO

The book documents the exhibition B74-78. Lorenzo Capellini. Un racconto fotografico organised by the Historical Archive of Contemporary Arts of La Biennale di Venezia and open to the public from March to November 2023 in the Portego at Ca’ Giustinian.

The book opens with the introductions by the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, by the President of La Biennale di Venezia Roberto Cicutto and by Debora Rossi, Head of the Historic Archive of the Contemporary Arts of La Biennale di Venezia.
They are followed by a text by Carlo Ripa di Meana, republished here, an account by Lorenzo Capellini and a closer examination by Bruno Pellegrino.
Each chapter of the book presents a section of the exhibition: Per una cultura democratica e antifascista. Libertà al Cile, Spagna 1936/1938. Avanguardia artistica e realtà sociale, L’inaugurazione dell’Archivio Storico delle Arti Contemporanee. ASAC a Ca’ Corner della Regina, Il Dissenso Culturale, Un laboratorio internazionale. Arti Visive, Cinema, Musica e Teatro, Incontri internazionali della Danza. Accademia Internazionale della Danza e I protagonisti.
This small book gathers all the photographs displayed in the exhibition, the collection of articles published during those years and preserved in the Historic Archive and the posters of the Biennale exhibitions from the four-year period from 1974 to 1978.

The catalogue ends with a list of all the documents, images and videos in the Exhibition.
