The book, edited by the Office of Educational Activities of La Biennale di Venezia, features three distinct sections. The first section provides an introduction to the general principles, methodologies and goals of the Educational activities of La Biennale di Venezia, in relation to the exhibitions organized since the 2000s. Special attention has been dedicated to the description of the diverse audiences towards which the activities were targeted and the relationship that Biennale Educational has built with them thanks to the constant relationship that has grown through their participation in these activities.

The second section gathers a significant selection of formats and workshops, which Biennale Educational has developed over the past twenty years: hands-on and creative workshops, performance-based activities, multidisciplinary initiatives: this section offers enthusiasts and professionals in the field the opportunity to understand how an Educational project comes to life based on the stimuli and suggestions that inspire its conception and realisation.

The third and last section presents a compendium of operative worksheets to use in various learning contexts, such as schools and associations, or in play and educational settings. The worksheets propose stimulating activities for teachers, educators and families, taking their cues from the artworks and the projects on display at the International Art Exhibitions and the International Architecture Exhibitions.
