The catalogue of the Biennale Teatro 2024<\/strong> opens with the introduction by the President of La Biennale di Venezia Pietrangelo Buttafuoco and the Artistic Directors Stefano Ricci and Gianni Forte, and continues with the motivations for the award of the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement to the Australian company Back to Back Theatre and of the Silver Lion to the Anglo-German collective Gob Squad.<\/p>\n

The book is divided into several chapters each of which are introduced by a graphic cover distinguished by different shades of grey. Each chapter presents an artist or a company, and the events in the programme, accompanying the reader on a journey from black to white, a reference to the title and the theme of the Festival.
\nStarting with a personal consideration on the opposition between black and white, each performer is introduced with a detailed biography and a short interview. Refined graphic designs enrich the pages with words and texts in motion that seem to change course, creating visual effects reminiscent of crossword puzzles.
\nThese are followed by precise credits, detailed directors\u2019 notes and stage images that illustrate the performances which make up the52nd International Theatre Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The catalogue also presents the winner of the Site-Specific <\/em>call, the Authors Under-40 and the Directors Under 35 of Biennale College Teatro, presented with a photo-portrait, a biography and a dedicated interview.<\/p>\n

One section of the book is reserved for the cycle of Masterclasses, held by mentors who are established international artists in the fields of theatre and culture.<\/p>\n

The catalogue ends with the complete Calendar of the 52nd International Theatre Festival, to be held in Venice from 15 to 30 June 2024.<\/p>\n
