“The encounter with Damiano Michieletto helped us to understand that there could be a space that lay beyond the responsibilities of the Directors of the Art, Architecture, Cinema, Dance, Music and Theatre Departments, in which to present works (today an installation, tomorrow a publication or a performance) that would give substance to the interdisciplinarity that is Historical Archive of Contemporary Arts’s true richness.”
Roberto Cicutto

The book relies on in-depth and detailed photographic research to reconstruct Archèus. Labirinto Mozart, the immersive installation by Oφcina and Damiano Michieletto for the Historical Archive of La Biennale di Venezia.
The book opens with a presentation by the President of La Biennale di Venezia Roberto Cicutto, and continues with a narrative description of the five chapters that compose the installation.
Inspired by Mozart’s The Magic Flute and conceived as a “journey from darkness into the light”, Archèus. Labirinto Mozart winds through five rooms, to each of which the book dedicates an entire chapter. The texts, written by Matteo Perin, and the colour photography by Andrea Avezzù and Marta Scotti offer a detailed chronicle of the spaces in this immersive installation.

The book concludes with the biography of Oφcina and Damiano Michieletto.
