THE RICHNESS OF THE EAST AS A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION AND TRAIT D’UNION BETWEEN DIFFERENT WORLDS

Inspired by the well-established project idea of enlarging the concept of “contemporaneity”, the Biennale Musica 2017 proposed moments of novelty, research and experimentation, maintaining the centrality of the support for the new creation, as well as the meeting with great masters and young artists who they appear, with promising urgency, in the international limelight. The leitmotif that runs through the 2017 program is the East: the Festival focuses its program on authors representative of that vast region of the Asian continent that includes China, Korea and Japan and able to link in a relationship of attendance, if not even of conjugation, with the West. From Tan Dun to Dai Fujikura, from the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto – proposing the performance of Inori by Stockhausen – to the French ensemble Hanatsu Miroir, from the “Focus Violoncello” to the section 23 APERTO: detailed technical data sheets and detailed descriptions provide the complete panorama on the protagonists and concerts of EST!, the 61st International Festival of Contemporary Music of La Biennale di Venezia.
